A New Era of Storytelling

"Rufus" is the short film that started it all. This was my final project during a fellowship at the AI Exchange in January of 2024, when image generation was just getting good. I used generative AI to resurrect the life story of my great, great, great grandfather, Rufus Archer, a 19th-century Cooper and volunteer firefighter from Salem, MA. This film integrated AI technology in various aspects of the production, such as simulated interviews with RufusGPT, generative imagery, and generative sound design. By leveraging AI tools like ChatGPT, MidJourney, and Eleven Labs, the project showcases the potential of AI in expanding the boundaries of storytelling and historical reenactments.

This was a spec project targeting Rockstar Energy's skateboarding events. It was the first time using AI generated music from Udio. I provided a song reference and asked for lyrics with skateboarding and graffiti. I loved the result.

 

This project for the crypto company Pyth came through the amazing agency, Sp-ce. It was my first opportunity to make a piece for a brand and the experience was incredible. 

 

This brand project was really difficult due to the first-person perspective requirement that the video concept required. It's clear that AI doesn't have a lot of this kind of image in it's training data. 

 

The First Artist, commissioned by Dreamflare AI, was inspired by a page in my kids’ history textbook about 35,000 year old cave drawings in Sulawesi, Indonesia that are considered some of the first art humans ever made.
